"In most outback towns in Australia, Aboriginal people have not seen the ocean. This painting describes the Artist who come from coastal tribes and has grown up around the ocean, fishing and swimming. Their totems and people are represented by the blue and green circles.

They journey to the outback and meet people who have never been to the coast. These people and their landscape are represented by the earth and in the ochre circles. The story of Salt Meets Earth describes this relationship and meeting of two tribes, celebrating their differences as well as their unity as one people." - Sheldon Lee

Āori meets first nation peoples

Tangaroa meets Tāne Mahuta. I am a Māori man living in Australia, showing my respects to the first nations people. The artwork is ataahooa (beautiful) and the shirts are cool to wear in the hot weather.
