Senior Retail Product Developer

The Role

As a product developer for Yarn you will work closely with members of the product and sourcing teams to design and produce new fashion and homeware products for our collections. An important part of your role will be working with Indigenous artwork (from the artists whom we collaborate with) in a respectful manner. Your role will predominantly be to create technical drawings and specification packs to be sent to our factories.

Your Tasks

  • Working closely with the product team to manage CAD development for sign off
  • Checking and creating technical drawings of garments and other products
  • Checking and creating design specification packs and bills of materials
  • Quality control on samples
  • Keeping all documentation up to date, maintaining order of paperwork and filing

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or Product Development
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Strong sourcing knowledge
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Strong understanding of garment construction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Sourcing Manager

The Role

Your role will be to manage and oversee all aspects of sourcing materials and products for Yarn’s inhouse brands. You will build strong relationships with our current suppliers, as well as create relationships with new ones. In this role you will work closely with our current sourcing agent and product team to ensure the sourcing of products and production happens to schedule at the best possible price.

Your Tasks

  • Analyse and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure on products and materials, ensuring the best quality and price
  • Research and compare suppliers, goods, services and prices
  • Negotiate prices with our suppliers
  • Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
  • Maintain records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts and payments

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a sourcing specialist
  • Thorough knowledge of fabric and materials
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software
  • Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
  • Comfortable in collecting, analysing and interpreting data
  • Strong organisation and documentation skills
  • Strong research and analytical skills

Inventory Manager

The Role

Your role will be to manage and oversee all aspects of our inventory. You will be responsible for developing inventory tracking systems, reviewing levels of stock, ordering new stock and performing a daily analysis. You will work closely with the sourcing and product teams to monitor stock production and arrival.

Your Tasks

  • Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimise inventory control procedures
  • Document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments
  • Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems
  • Order new supplies 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software and forecasting techniques
  • An analytical mind and strong attention to detail

SEO & SEM Manager

The Role

As a digital specialist you will lead digital marketing activities across SEO and content management. You will focus on growing the customer base of the Yarn platform through many different channels. Defining and executing a wide range of SEO projects and strategies will be your key responsibility. You will also be the main SEO voice within Yarn and it will be your job to share knowledge of SEO and SEM throughout our business in a proactive manner.

Your Tasks

  • Supporting the marketing team, prioritizing and executing our SEO roadmap and strategy across the business
  • Helping to define important metrics and measurement tactics to report on technical SEO efforts
  • Collaborate with the content marketing team to define, prioritise and track performance across the platform
  • Collaborate with content marketing team to create high quality content and set standard methodology frameworks
  • Maintain an up to date understanding of the digital world
  • Be the SEO voice within Yarn and share knowledge across the business

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience working as an SEO expert
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful end to end SEO strategies
  • Digital marketing knowledge across SEO, SEM and display
  • Thorough knowledge of search ranking factors, key algorithm updates, and new search features from Google
  • Strong understanding of inbound marketing techniques & content marketing
  • Experience with SEO and paid search analysis/optimization
  • Previous experience at optimizing across different platforms
  • High level of knowledge with analysis tools such as Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, SEMRush and Brightedge
  • Technical skills such as HTML & CSS and with any CMS or shopware system (Shopware, Shopify, WooCommerce etc.)

PR Specialist

The Role

Through working closely with the marketing team and collaborating with stakeholders you will promote Yarn’s presence online and within the media. You will do this through developing and executing strategic projects through digital and traditional media, and influencer and ambassador management. You will maintain strong relationships with Yarn’s partners and key stakeholders and create relationships with new contacts to ensure we are making the largest impact possible.

Your Tasks

  • Developing and sharing Yarn’s brand positioning, messaging and authentic voice
  • Maintaining strong relationships with our current partners and forming new connections with appropriate media personnel and organisations
  • Developing and executing projects through digital and traditional media
  • Managing influencer and ambassador campaigns - briefing, negotiating and facilitating delivery of content and analysing metrics
  • Maximise opportunities to integrate PR campaigns with social and digital elements
  • Track, monitor and report on all PR activity and coverage

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in PR/Communications
  • Minimum 3 years of PR/Communications experience
  • Understanding of and experience working in the realm of Indigenous art and culture is highly regarded
  • Experience in end-to-end management of influencer marketing campaigns
  • A strong ability to maintain brand positioning and messaging through all writing and content creation
  • Understanding of current PR, social media and content trends
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of the Australian media landscape
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
