Yarn, as our major retail brand, is a community marketplace that features a diverse range of products and brands that showcase authentic Indigenous artwork. We help First Nations owned brands to grow and connect with new customers, through the assistance of our logistic infrastructure and marketing expertise. We showcase one of a kind designs - designs that speak of country, culture, and the Dreamtime. Through featuring these beautiful designs and products Yarn is a platform dedicated to supporting First Nations artists, art centres, community organisations and small businesses.

Your day-to-day responsibilities
- Lead our design team to create highly engaging content and assets for social media, paid advertisements, email marketing, and our website.
- Enhance user experience to provide the best shopping experience for our customers.
- Mentor and guide team members to maintain a high standard of design excellence.
- Oversee the development of creative assets in alignment with our brand and mission.
- Overseeing creative output to ensure consistency in brand representation
- Plan weekly marketing campaign scheduleÂ
- Design digital assets for use on the website, social media, edMs, paid ads and marketing campaigns
- Design homepages, landing pages & onsite collateral in line with the digital calendar
- Analyse customer responses and website data, as well as social media responses and data so that content can be adjusted accordinglyÂ
Our ideal candidateÂ
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Art Director, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creative and strategic abilities.
- Proven experience in the e-commerce field, with a deep understanding of user-centered design and digital marketing.
- Exceptional proficiency in industry-standard design software and tools.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- A deep appreciation for Indigenous culture and a commitment to supporting Indigenous communities.
- A passion for creating engaging and culturally respectful digital content.
- Bonus points for experience in UX and UI design, coding, and the ability to troubleshoot using HTML, CSS and comparable languagesÂ

Yarn Marketplace is seeking a skilled Production Artist and Mockup Designer to join our team. As a Production Artist and Mockup Designer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality mockups for promotional products and apparel, as well as other production tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with sales representatives to create high-quality mockups for promotional products and apparel based on client specifications.
- Communicate with clients through email and phone conversations to ensure their vision is executed in all designs and to discuss realistic options for realizing that vision.
- Work with clients and account managers to ensure mockups meet their expectations
- Produce and prepare production-ready artwork files for our print and decoration departments
- Prepare and review proofs for accuracy
- Collaborate with other members of the production team to ensure a smooth workflow
- Maintain accurate records of all artwork files and revisions
- Stay up-to-date on current design trends and technologies
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Production Artist and Mockup Designer or similar role
- Have the graphic designing skills required to design mockups, vector graphics, logo editing, etc.
- Be customer service oriented
- Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of production processes and file preparation for print and embroidery
- Understanding of color theory and print production
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
