Introducing our latest Yarn Raise collection in collaboration with Red Dust

Every purchase donates $2 to Red Dust’s youth programs in remote communities across the NT.

About This Campaign

Together We Rise brings vibrant artwork by debut Mutthi Mutthi artist Tayla Donaczy to life in support of our community partner, Red Dust Role Models. This special collection supports our partner to continue working with young people in remote communities, inspiring and supporting their mental health through the ups and downs of life.

From family and friends to nutrition, sport, creativity, and culture: all aspects of our lives shape our emotional and mental well-being. And when our mental health is strong, we’re strong. That’s why Yarn is proud to support Red Dust and their innovative health education programs.

$2 from every sale in the collection supports their co-designed community programs that improve overall health outcomes for Indigenous youth and families

About Our Community Partner

Red Dust inspires remote Indigenous communities through a unique ‘community-as-family’ model of health and wellbeing programs. For over thirty years Red Dust has walked alongside community leaders and Elders to create a stronger future for youth and their families. They draw on the strengths of both western health knowledge and traditional cultural knowledges that influence youth in community. Their positive role models combined with engaging, high-impact programs help build resilience in young people and inspire them to identify and pursue their dreams. They also work together with Australians more broadly to build cross-cultural competency through training and immersion experiences.

Meet The Artist

Tayla Donaczy

“My name is Tayla Donaczy. I am 32 years old, Mother of 3 beautiful children and partner to an amazing fiance. My mob are the Mutthi Mutthi people.

I begun painting to connect with my ancestors and learn the ways to storytell through art. This is an ongoing journey for me, to be able to express myself, who I am and the messages I would like to share. I have found a deep connection to my culture through paint and expression.

For me, Mental Health means taking care of my mind and spirit just as I would for my body. It's knowing that it is okay to feel deeply and have big emotions – to have both days where I struggle to even think about my goals and days when I rise above and kick many. It means giving myself permission to rest, to ask for help, and to speak my truth without shame or stigma.”

About The Artwork

“Solid like the roots of a tree, fierce like the flowing of our rivers, strong like the song lines impressed into the land. Symbolising unity, collective strength, and resilience – we come together as one, guided by our ancestors who paved the way for a brighter future for all. Representing our people, symbolising the incredible strength we hold when we walk together – showing that when we support, care and love one another we can all rise.”
- Tayla

Real People, Real Impact

To bring this campaign to life, we invited 10 inspiring members of the Yarn community to join our photoshoot. Each person shared their reflections on mental health, resilience, and the power of coming together in support of a meaningful cause.

These portraits are a reminder that this campaign is about more than clothing. It;s about about real people, stories, and connecting for better mental health outcomes.
