Yarn Marketplace is a non-Indigenous owned business dedicated to creating an inclusive marketplace for and in collaboration with the Indigenous community. Our aim is to provide a platform for Indigenous business owners and artists to share their culture and unique stories with our customers.
DONATED OVER THE LAST FOUR YEARS TO INDIGENOUS
EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING, ARTIST AND MODEL SPONSORSHIPS
AND DIRECT COMMUNITY FUNDING
We support Indigenous-owned brands, ally-friendly brands and Indigenous artists build their businesses and grow through our platform. With our partner brands we share our social reach (thousands of visits a month + over 150k followers on FB and IG), warehouse space, shipping system, marketing resources, marketing insight, and general expertise to help build commercially successful businesses.
We support First Nations artists and non-for-profits that make important contributions to Indigenous communities, their health and wellbeing. We currently provide ongoing support to four Community Partners: Gunawirra, Nutrition Plus, Surat Aboriginal Corporation and the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation. Each year Yarn also supports and donates to a number of other organisations. Every product sale directly financially supports the significant work of these non-for-profits.
Our goal goes beyond being yet another e-commerce store. It is our mission to build opportunities, and grow alongside our partner brands and collaborating artists. We believe in developing a strong inclusive platform that can help overcome some of the current boundaries and prejudices that exist within our society. Through sharing First Nations art and knowledge we hope to build a more understanding and inclusive Australia.
