Yaama my name is Shareen Griffiths I am a proud Gomeroi woman born and raised in northern NSW. I now reside on Tuggerah/turrabul country where I raise my daughter.
For me creating art isn’t just a passion it is apart of my healing and my journey as an aboriginal woman. My passion for art also extends to traditional/contemporary weaving as I was always taught by my father that keeping culture alive in all aspects is important for our people and the generations that come after us.
Unity is strength
My artwork represents the unity within our elders and from them uniting we emerge stronger as people and stronger as a community.
