The Rainbow Serpent is considered to be the ultimate creator of everything in the universe, and  features in the Dreamtime stories of Indigenous Australians. It controls life's most precious resource - water, which is often associated with watercourses such as billabongs, rivers, creeks and lagoons in Dreamtime.
