Fire Stories

This artwork represents the stories shared whilst sitting around the camp fire at Cape Arnhem. We drove for hours in the troopie to get there and finally reached the beach, found the camp site and joined the others who were already sitting around the fire cooking freshly caught wallaby and cod. The Elders told us stories of how country was changing from when they were little kids and how important it was to respect and care for country to keep it thriving for generations to come.
