Across the Land

This artwork was created to tell the story of travelling great distances across the world to settle in a new country and build a wonderful life. There are journey lines crossing the ocean bridging one place to the next symbolising the spiritual connectedness to the land of each place. The mountains represent strength and resilience faced over a lifetime of lived experiences and there is native pig face flowers to symbolise health and well-being as well as acacia wattle for growth and abundance. Central to the artwork are the camp sites representing family and its inseparable bond.
