About the Campaign
“This collection is a vibrant and unapologetic celebration of Pride, a time to honour the strength, visibility, and joy of being both Aboriginal and LGBTQIA+. It shines a light on the powerful intersection of culture, identity, and love, showcasing the beauty and resilience that exists within our communities. Pride is more than just a moment, it's a movement, a reflection of our history, our survival, and our right to take up space boldly and authentically. Through this collection, we hope people feel seen, celebrated, and empowered to embrace every part of who they are with pride and purpose.” Artists Chloe Eastwood and Tay-la Shearley (Bindi Bindi Art)

Bindi Bindi Art is a LGBTQI+ collaboration between artists Chloe Eastwood and Tay-la Shearley. Chloe is a proud Ngemba woman and a third-generation Aboriginal artist and Tay-la is a proud Wiradjuri woman.
Bindi Bindi started back in 2018. Chloe had grown up surrounded by art—watching her dad, uncle, and grandad create Aboriginal artworks. One day, she tagged along to one of her dad’s workshops, got involved, and instantly fell in love with painting. With two young children at the time, art became her way to unwind after they went to sleep—it brought peace, joy, and a strong sense of connection to culture.
“We met in 2021 and quickly realised we shared a deeper connection—Tay-la’s grandmother used to attend art sessions with Chloe’s grandad. That moment of realisation felt really special and made creating together feel natural. It wasn’t long before painting became something we did side by side, and we soon discovered we worked best as a team. That’s how Bindi Bindi truly came to life—a shared passion, a shared story, and a shared purpose.”
“Representation matters, and we hope our work helps people feel seen, safe, and celebrated. That’s why we often incorporate pride colours into our pieces—to reflect that sense of belonging and to honour the diverse identities within our communities.” - Bindi Bindi Art
Artworks in campaign: Pride, Together, Belonging

“To all our LGBTQIA+ mob and allies — know that you are seen, valued, and loved. Be proud of who you are and where you come from. Our identities are powerful, and when we stand in our truth, we create space for others to do the same. We also want to thank the allies who continue to show up, speak out, and stand beside us. Your support helps create safer, more inclusive spaces for everyone. Keep shining, keep creating, and never stop celebrating your pride and culture—they are both something to be deeply proud of.”
