NAIDOC Week is approaching fast. To help you make the most of the year's largest celebration of First Nations cultures, here are some events happening in capital cities around the country.
All events listed are free to attend and suitable for all ages and all nationalities. Show up, be respectful and be ready to learn, celebrate and enjoy the beauty of Australia's First Nations Cultures.

The Deadly Cup Carnival
Sunday 2nd July 11:30am - 8:30pm
TRL Stadium
Indigenous All Stars NT Rugby League event featuring cultural performances, cooking demonstrations, kids activities and live music.
Meanjin (Brisbane)
Musgrave Park Family Fun Day
Friday 7th July 9am - 5pm
Musgrave Park
Long-running and city's largest event featuring live music, cultural dance, food stalls, and local speakers.
Warrang (Sydney)
NAIDOC In the City
Saturday 8th July 11am-3pm
Hyde Park
Wander through the different installations set up in Hyde Park to discover food, song, art, dance and stories in the heart of the city.
Naarm (Melbourne)
NAIDOC In the City
Friday 7th July 3pm-6pm
Federation Square
Family-friendly music and ceremony performances with food, coffee, and market stalls.
Boorloo (Perth)
NAIDOC Week Opening Ceremony
Sunday 2nd July 1pm-5pm
Wellington Square
Performances by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, with community stalls, children’s activities, traditional food and Elder’s Marquee.
Tarndanya (Adelaide)
Family Fun Day
Friday 7th July 12pm-4pm
Tarntanyangga (Victoria Square)
Stall holders with Men’s, Women’s and Elders Zones, plus Kids, Businesses and Fitness area with Food and a Free concert. March to Parliament House leaves at 11am.
nipaluna (Hobart)
Flag Raising
Monday 3rd July 1030am
piyura kitina (Risdon Cove)
Flag raising ceremony for public. Involves climbing a hill to the ceremony spot.
Canberra
Community NAIDOC Week Event
Tuesday 4th July 10:30am- 2pm
Woden Town Square
A free community event to celebrate the gifts and traditions of First Nations talent with live performances, music and appearances from the Brumbies Rugby team.
