The Rise of Our Future

The painting depicts our next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mob rising to shape and transform our future, not only keeping our culture alive by passing on knowledge from our ancestors but also creating new and beautiful paths to help define and preserve our culture.

The circle in the middle depicts our culture and history, while the characters surrounding the circle are our future generation of strong, powerful and proud Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The two boomerangs symbolise a passing on of culture to our next generation, this shows the importance and significance of our culture continuing to still have a voice today and in the future of our nation.
