Family violence has never been a part of our culture, but colonisation and systemic racism has meant our women, children, families, and communities are disproportionately impacted.

Respect Victoria’s vision for Reconciliation aims for a society where First Nations people are safe, equal, and respected. To achieve true Reconciliation, it’s critical that non-Aboriginal organisations like Respect Victoria, share power and resources with First Nations organisations.

Now more than ever, Respect Victoria commit to elevating and collaborating with the pioneering approaches of Aboriginal-led prevention work, so that our people are free to live safe, equal, and respected lives.
