STORY - Ngurambang Ngarra

Ngurambang Ngarra
Ngurambang Ngarra is an abstract tribute to the deep, unspoken knowledge Aboriginal people hold of Country — a wisdom passed down through generations, held in the body, and felt through the spirit.
Flowing in hues of plum, burgundy, and soft purple, the piece reflects the richness and depth of this connection. Shapes and patterns move across the canvas like language — not spoken, but sensed. This artwork is a metaphor for the way Aboriginal people read the land: the shift of wind, the song of birds, the colour of the sky, the texture of soil. All of it speaking in a way that may go unnoticed to others, but is deeply understood by those who belong.
It is a celebration of Ngurambang (Country) and the sacred, intuitive relationship First Nations people maintain with it. A knowledge not learned, but inherited. Not taught, but remembered.
