Connecting Through Culture

Just as water flows through the river currents, culture runs through the blood of every First Nation and Torres Strait islander that walk on our beautiful land.

This painting depicts a stunning fluid like design representing connection between culture and the relationships between all of us as Australians, communicating and understanding each other, learning and teaching one another. A beautiful flowing understanding between cultures.

The two blue circles represent First Nations and Torres Strait islanders communicating with non-indigenous peoples with a stream of knowledge, the dotting patterns leading from each circle also representing the knowledge and wisdom being shared.

The bare green outlines shows the gaps in knowledge and understanding each other that we try to strive towards reconciliation,

The dotting all around the canvas is a depiction of all of the unspoken teachings that we could share and learn from, small and large puddles of education waiting to be dispensed with a single conversation.
