Maddy Barbary Copley is a proud Kureinji woman born in Mildura Victoria. She is living and working on Latje Latje country. Her connection to country runs deep with the red dirt, blue skies and mighty Murray river. Her style is a mix of traditional storytelling and contemporary flare with colours that speak louder than words.
Her biggest inspiration comes from her mob who strive to have their voices heard and from her mother and grandmother who work hard every day to reawaken their culture.
Maddy creates to keep her culture and her mob’s story alive, share their truth and bring people together through art.
