These gorgeous leather handbags will brighten up any outfit. They are crafted from hand embroidered leather using a technique called Kashida. Kashida is one of the oldest Kashmiri handicrafts. It is applied to the leather by hand with the help of a small “aari” a hand tool similar to a crochet hook. Originally used to decorate clothing and the famous Kashmiri shawls, and practiced by both men and women, Kashmir produces Kashida of the highest quality. It is an historically important export for Kashmir.

Style: Embroidered Handbag Leather
Materials: leather outer and cotton lining
Washing: mix a solution of warm water and dish soap. Dip and wring out a soft cloth and wipe the exterior surfaces of the bag. Using a clean, damp cloth, wipe off the soap and dry the bag with a towel. The warm, soapy water will help to remove scuffs and water stains.
Dimensions: 30cm (W) x 24cm (H)
Artist: Shorty Robertson
At Puyurru two Jangala men, rainmakers, sang the rain, unleashing a giant storm. It travelled across the country, lightning striking the land. The storm met up with another storm from Wapurtal and the resulting downpour created a gionat soakage. There is an outstation there that belongs to Shorty's family.
