The artwork depicts a significant site of rocks and rockholes in the Gibson Desert as it was the location of the dreaming story of Yumari: a forbidden love story between a Japaljarri man and a Nangala woman.

Style: Printed Metal Earrings
Material: Lightweight printed metal. Gold metal French hooks.  Gold metal jump rings.
Sizing: 6cm (H) x 2cm (W)

Story: Yumari Dreaming
Joy Nangala Brown

The artwork shows a dreaming story from Yumari, a collection of rocks in the Gibson Desert. It is the site of a forbidden love story between a Japaljarri man and a Nangala woman. The painting uses iconography associated with the site and landforms to show the story. For example, the concentric circles represent rockholes.

Stunning Earrings

For the past 1000 years I have only worn gold hoops!! I saw these & thought I’d venture out. They are STUNNING & I’m always complimented whilst wearing. They are beautifully made - not cheap & tacky. Slightly too heavy for my ears but I’m practicing wearing them. Was going to purchase a pair for a friends birthday but all sold out. I know why. I am SOOOO happy with these earrings.
