These gorgeous leather handbags will brighten up any outfit. They are crafted from hand embroidered leather using a technique called Kashida. Kashida is one of the oldest Kashmiri handicrafts. It is applied to the leather by hand with the help of a small “aari” a hand tool similar to a crochet hook. Originally used to decorate clothing and the famous Kashmiri shawls, and practiced by both men and women, Kashmir produces Kashida of the highest quality. It is an historically important export for Kashmir.
